Definition

CRM is the effective utilisation of all available resources e.g.

  • crew members
  • airplane systems
  • supporting facilities
  • supporting persons

to achieve safe and efficient operation.

Brief overview of topics:

  •  CRM Introduction / Overview
  •  Human Error and Reliability
  •  Information Acquisition and Processing
  •  Situational Awareness
  •  Workload Management
  •  Leadership and Teamwork
  •  Communication
  •  Decision Making
  •  Stress
  •  Operator Safety Culture

New crew members must complete a CRM Initial at the latest before the first assignment without supervision (before commencing unsupervised flying).

The possibility to dispense with recurrent training and instead complete CRM initial training every 3 years can no longer be taken from the current legal text of EASA AirOps. In the EASA AirOps there is only talk of "Annual Recurrent Training" in several places.

Therefore, we are of the opinion that the maintenance of the validity of the CRM training can only be guaranteed by annual recurrent training.
